A warm
welcome to Chorley Tennis Club. At Chorley we’re fortunate in having some of the best outdoor
facilities in north west England. Previously known as Windsor Tennis
Club, we’re handily located next to the grounds of Chorley
cricket club. With five all-weather floodlit courts, two short tennis
courts and a fully equipped clubhouse, we attract a high membership
of
both junior and senior members of all abilities, and provide plenty
of opportunities for competitive and social tennis alike. We regularly
field five teams in the mixed Ribble League every summer, as well
as three teams in the Bolton Men’s. Our A
teams in both leagues plays in Division 1 and usually finish the
season near the top. We regularly field several Junior teams too.
Members can come down and play at any time, matches permitting.
We have social tennis sessions twice a week for people of all
abilities to mix in, without needing a partner. In 2011 we gained
the national sports club Clubmark status. Affiliated to the LTA,
all Chorley Tennis Club members automatically become
members of British Tennis, qualifying us for discounted tickets
to UK tournaments. Chorley Tennis Club is a not-for-profit organisation.
Our policy is to keep subscription fees affordable and hold extra
fund-raising
events to cover court maintenance costs. There is no joining
fee, in fact new members get three half-hour coaching sessions
with
our club coaches, free of charge. Anyone who enjoys playing
tennis is very welcome as a member at Chorley Tennis Club.
