junior tennis

Welcome to the Junior section of Chorley Tennis Club.
Chorley Tennis Club highly values its junior members, warmly welcoming all newcomers and encouraging young players to join the seniors on court. It’s a great place to play tennis, whether you’re a junior who’s looking for a friendly introduction to the sport or a more advanced player seeking competitive play.

Free Membership for Age Six & Under
Seeking to introduce more youngsters to the game, Chorley Tennis Club offers free membership for juniors aged 6 and under who are participating in coaching sessions at the Club. The membership comes with all of the benefits of full junior membership!

Club members will provide information about events and opportunities for juniors at the club during the summer.
Chorley Tennis Club is based next to Chorley Cricket Club and is best accessed via the pathway from Walgarth Drive. The nearest postcode for the pathway is PR7 2QW.
Anyone interested in coming along, or who would like to know more, please phone or email Keith Eckersall on 07772 825548 or eckerskeith@aol.com

Social Tennis
Saturday afternoons are Juniors’ time. Please note, these sessions are informal and unsupervised, see above.

Advanced Juniors are also welcome to join in with the Club’s senior social tennis sessions on a Tuesday evening and on a Sunday afternoon. These timeslots are set aside for informal friendly games for those looking to just turn up and play. Juniors also have priority over Court One during this time for their own play.

Facilities
Chorley Tennis Club not only has five full-sized all-weather courts, but also two mini tennis courts, which are a great introduction to the sport for our mini juniors. The Club also provides mini tennis equipment at its mini red, orange and green coaching sessions. Chorley’s juniors also have access to court number 1, one of the full-sized courts, at most times.
