Welcome to the Junior section of Chorley Tennis Club.
Chorley Tennis Club highly
values its junior members, warmly welcoming all newcomers and encouraging
young players to join the seniors
on court. It’s a great place to play tennis, whether you’re
a junior who’s looking for a friendly introduction to the
sport or a more advanced player seeking competitive play.
Free Children’s Event Tuesday 15 April 2014
Andy Murrays and Laura Robsons! Chorley Tennis Club, the town’s
only non-commercial tennis club, is holding a free event for young
players or would-be players to come down to the Club during the
Easter holidays on Tuesday 15th April and have fun playing tennis.
It doesn’t matter whether children have played tennis previously
or they’ve never picked up a racket before; the idea behind
the pre-season event is for them to enjoy themselves and learn
a little bit more about the sport and about the facilities and
affordably priced coaching at Chorley.
Sessions for each age group will run for two hours and are as follows:
Ages 4-7 10am-12pm
Ages 7-9 12pm-2pm
Ages 9-14 2pm-4pm
Please note if the weather is very bad on 15th April the event
will be postponed to Wednesday 16th.
All equipment along with light refreshments will be provided on
the day and parents are welcome to come down and watch, or join
in if they like. Coaches will be on hand to organise coaching,
fun games and possibly a mini tournament at the end of the session.
Club members will also provide information about events and opportunities
for juniors at the club during the summer.
Chorley Tennis Club is based next to Chorley Cricket Club and is
best accessed via the pathway from Walgarth Drive. The nearest
postcode for the pathway is PR7 2QW.
Anyone interested in coming along, or who would like to know more,
please phone, text or email Simon Brewer so the Club can cater
for appropriate numbers: Tel: 07743 427032 or email email@example.com.
