junior tennis

Welcome to the Junior section of Chorley Tennis Club.
Chorley Tennis Club highly values its junior members, warmly welcoming all newcomers and encouraging young players to join the seniors on court. It’s a great place to play tennis, whether you’re a junior who’s looking for a friendly introduction to the sport or a more advanced player seeking competitive play.

Free Membership for Age Six & Under
Seeking to introduce more youngsters to the game, Chorley Tennis Club offers free membership for juniors aged 6 and under who are participating in coaching sessions at the Club. The membership comes with all of the benefits of full junior membership!

Club members will provide information about events and opportunities for juniors at the club during the summer.
Chorley Tennis Club is based next to Chorley Cricket Club and is best accessed via the pathway from Walgarth Drive. The nearest postcode for the pathway is PR7 2QW.
Anyone interested in coming along, or who would like to know more, please phone or email Stuart Grice on 07709 816951 or rootstennis@hotmail.co.uk

In 2016 Chorley Tennis Club was awarded LTA Tennismark accreditation for the organisation and management of its programme of tennis activities. Tennismark ensures that Chorley Tennis Club:
• has a fair and transparent operational structure
• adheres to best practice policies and procedures around safeguarding junior and adult members/users
• delivers a comprehensive and all-encompassing tennis programme for all ages and abilities
• produces a clear plan of action for long term sustainability and future growth

Tennis Committee
A dedicated Tennis Committee ensures that the Club is a great place for juniors to play tennis. Our head of tennis, child protection officer, coaches and junior team captains work together to improve tennis for Chorley’s juniors.

Two LTA licensed and fully qualified coaches (Stuart Grice and John Chatterley) lead the coaching sessions taking place at Chorley Tennis Club. Coaching is available to all standards of player and is offered on a group and individual basis. By licensing through the LTA, our coaches ensure that their knowledge and skills are up-to-date and that they are aware of important changes and modern standards.

We intend to run Summer Camps throughout school holidays as usual this year. For details please contact Stuart Grice: 07709 816951 or rootstennis@hotmail.co.uk
